What To Expect: Hands On Class

Our professional Chef’s with years of experience will teach you the proper  techniques for elevating your cooking. You will work in groups with other guests in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

  • Work from a recipe that was created for each specific class
  • Work side-by-side with other students to prepare each dish from start to finish
  • Classes are roughly 2 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted above, and each student will enjoy a full meal of what you created in class!
  • Cooking classes are conducted in our state of the art Blue Star outfitted demonstration kitchen and each class is led by an experienced chef instructor
  • Students receive a 10% to shop before or after class

If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, that we can work around we will PLEASE add any info we may need to know about in your order notes or call us at 630-395-9958 at least 1 day in advance. We can not make any substations the day of class. thank you for understanding.

Description

Have you always wanted to make fresh pasta from scratch but just never took the leap?  Today is the day to change that! In this class we will discuss ingredients, different types of flour, different techniques for mixing pasta dough. We will mix our batches by hand and roll out a few different styles. Our chef will show you how to make some really quick and delicious summer sauces…

 

MENU:

  • Fresh Egg pasta
  • cold summer tomato sauce with garlic, oil and fresh basil over hot pasta
  • Goat cheese stuffed tortellacci with black truffle and butter
