KIDS BAKING CAMP

Do you have a kid that would love a baking camp, that loves to cook but needs a bit of direction? This kids boot camp is designed to take your budding chef and keep them inspired all the while shaping the way they look at food, sanitation (eh-hmmm…the cleanliness of your kitchen) and basic understanding of kitchen chemistry.

We suggest signing up for multiple classes to build a solid foundation in baking the classics. This series is focused on baking classics. We will do savory dishes as well –  mostly so we can eat lunch 🙂

This is a fully hands on camp designed for all levels. We see baking as an art but also an incredibly important lifeskill that will follow them through out their life. Starting them off with the tools for success and a life long love of cooking is our goal. And hey, you will probably get a few treats in it as well!

  • HAM AND BROCCOLI QUICHE

DAY 2

  • ICE CREAM SANDWICHES –
  • CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
  • HOMEMADE ICE CREAM – WE’LL MAKE SOME FUN FLAVORS
  • BUTTERMILK BISCUITS (WE’LL MAKE A LITTLE SANDWICH BAR AND HAVE LUNCH 🙂

WHAT TO EXPECT IN KIDS BOOT CAMP

This class is for kids – 8-12 

Teen classes are written with older kids in mind – recipes with direction but a little more sophisticated for the older set.

  • This class is hands on
  • Students work side-by-side with other students to prepare each dish from start to finish.
  • Class are roughly 2 – 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted.
  • Each student will go home with a recipe packet to start their culinary journey!
  • We respectfully request any long hair tied back (we provide hair ties just in case) and please wear closed toe shoes
  • PLEASE ALERT US OF ANY FOOD ALLERGIES – we can accommodate these but need at least 24 hours. Please add these to your registration notes and also call us at 630-395-9958
