Knife basics will cover everything from, sharpening versus honing, mincing versus rough chop. What does it all mean? After taking this class, you’ll feel like a Chef. We will cover the basics (and not so basics) of knife care, sharpening, honing and the various cuts you will come across in a typical recipe.
Our Chef and kitchen staff will make dinner so we can have a Q&A while we eat a well deserved meal, prepped with care!

We will cover the basics (and not so basics) of knife care, sharpening, honing and the various cuts you will come across in a typical recipe.

What To Expect: Hands On Class

Our professional Chef’s with years of experience will teach you the proper  techniques for elevating your cooking. You will work in groups with other guests in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

  • Work from a recipe that was created for each specific class
  • Work side-by-side with other students to prepare each dish from start to finish
  • Classes are roughly 2 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted above, and each student will enjoy a full meal of what you created in class!
  • Cooking classes are conducted in our state of the art Blue Star outfitted demonstration kitchen and each class is led by an experienced chef instructor
  • Wine, Beer and soft drinks are available for purchase (sorry, no BYOB)
  • Students receive a 10% to shop before or after class
