Our Story

Serious about pizza from the start, Chef Anthony Iannone created NAPCA as a place for hands-on learning and authentic instruction.

The North American Pizza & Culinary Academy was founded by Chef Anthony Iannone with a simple goal: to create a place where people could learn the craft of pizza at the highest level. After years of experience in professional kitchens and training in Italy, Anthony saw the need for a school in the United States that could provide both authentic instruction and a welcoming environment for students of all levels.

In 2018, he opened NAPCA in Lisle, Illinois. The academy was built to serve both professionals looking to advance their skills and home cooks who wanted to bring authentic pizza into their kitchens. NAPCA became the only Scuola Italiana Pizzaioli accredited school in the country, connecting American students directly to the standards and traditions of Italy’s most respected pizza school.

Today, Anthony continues to teach and mentor students, sharing not only the technical skills of pizza making but also the values of patience, respect for ingredients, and the importance of community. What started as his vision has become a trusted place where chefs, home cooks, and food enthusiasts learn side by side.
