About this experience

In this hands-on bread class, students will learn how to make two classic breads entirely by hand: a hearty whole wheat loaf and a rustic semolina filone. We’ll cover the fundamentals of bread baking, including mixing, kneading, fermentation, shaping, and scoring—no mixers required. Participants will work with whole wheat flour to create a flavorful, well-structured loaf, then explore semolina flour to make a light, golden filone with a crisp crust and tender crumb. Along the way, we’ll discuss dough feel, gluten development, and fermentation timing so you gain confidence baking bread at home. Each student will leave with freshly baked loaves and practical skills that can be applied to a wide range of breads.
